Day 12 – Self-Care Sunday

worthy
by Heather Since November

I listened to two NPR TED Radio Hour shows this week –
From Curiousity to Discovery and The Source of Creativity.

I love this program because it summarizes a few TED talks on a certain topic, and also interviews the speakers, so you get more than just a TED talk.  These two programs were fascinating as they explore curiosity and creativity, which overlap quite a bit.

And moving over into the creative side, here are a few artist shops that you should check out and support the creativity of people and care for yourself at the same time!  Thanks to Anna and Anna for helping me out with this list.

Epiphany Art Studio – art that heals — mixed media originals and prints by Beth Morey.

Whispered Truths –  coffee stains, typewriter keys, & hammered whispered truths.

Her wrapped bracelets are gorgeous!

Heather Since November – But I have realized my eye sees what no one else’s eye sees. So I am on a journey of finding self-worth.

She makes these gorgeous lariat necklaces, and also cool bunny artwork.

Happy Art Happy Science – A happy blend of art and science

Frostbeard – Handcrafted Book Candles and Nerdy Art.

I love the idea of this shop.  Book scented candles.  Swoon!

And then this is an interesting, and disappointing article about Etsy – How Etsy Changed the Rules & What It Means for Indie Designers

So here’s a couple of non-etsy craft stores that have gorgeous work.

Anna Meade Arts

Anna K. Originals

“It’s in quiet moments that her soul sings the loudest.”

And last but definitely not least – The Giving Keys.

The Giving Keys exists to employ those transitioning out of homelessness to make jewelry out of repurposed keys that get sold and shared around the world.
