Time just hangs without any markers to define it. Day after day after day. For 6 long days. Moses on the mountain, Peter on the trail.

They are both preparing for ‘the wider truths, the shadow side, the strange worlds beyond time’*, unaware of the how and when.

Exodus 24 and Matthew 17 merge into one, and I wonder what those 6 days were like for each of them. What were the 6 days between hearing ‘Satan’ and seeing God like for Peter? What was it to endure the looks and whispers from the other disciples? The awkward silences?

What was it like for Moses, just waiting with Joshua on the mountain? Come, and I will meet you, says God. And then nothing. Silence. 6 days on a mountain with nothing to do but wait.

Living the 6 is so long. So very long, and it’s exhausting. You’ve climbed up the mountain, and now what? You seriously just have to wait? In the moment you don’t know a narrative will be created later that makes sense of it all. In the middle of it, you don’t know that you are living day 3, year 3. You don’t realize the fiery cloud is coming…..
